Directed by Tourmaline, Salacia is a speculative imagining of a day in the life of Mary Jones, a Black trans sex worker who lived in New York in the 1800s.

Originally commissioned by Brooklyn Museum and the Highline, Salacia has been acquired into the permanent collections of MoMA, the Tate, and the Whitney Museum, among others.
